 Review and analyze credit applications, ensuring all required information is complete and accurate. Analyze credit reports obtained from credit bureaus to assess an individual’s credit history, including payment behavior, outstanding debts and credit utilization. Verify and assess the stability and reliability of an individual’s income, employment status and other financial resources. Evaluate an individual’s debt to income ratio to assess their capacity to take on additional debt. Assess various risk factors, including change in employment, legal issues or other life events that may impact an individual’s ability to repay. Communication with applicants to gather additional information, clarify details and explain credit decision including approvals, conditions or denials. Ensure compliance with relevant consumer lending regulations and guidelines to protect both the borrower and the lending institution. Prepare and maintain accurate documentation related to credit assessment, including credit reports, income verification and decision rationale. Ensure that credit assessments align with the organization’s policies and guidelines.
