This marks my return to the world of auto journalism with the fresh perspective that the two-year stint at communications consultancy has provided me. As assistant editor, my task would be to not only oversee the existing magazine operations, timeliness and accuracy but also infuse new ideas and improve content overall. At the same time, I would also play a significant role in team building and team cohesion with the aim of improving our twin magazines - Bike India and Car India.

Having shifted career paths from auto journalism into the heart of the communications consultancy world with my entry into Genesis B-M, one of India's most recognised communications consultancy agencies, I was tasked with conceiving campaigns and communications strategy for Ford India's product range, including the Ford EcoSport - I was an integral part of the team that conceived the communications plan for the vehicle's entry to the Indian market, including the technical deep dive and the launch of the product.Currently, I am a communications consultant for Royal Enfield where I have been an integral part of the communication strategy (including message development) for the Continental GT that was first launched to a global audience in the UK last September and then launched in India last November.Both campaigns - the Ford EcoSport launch and the Royal Enfield Continental GT launch - have received awards since. The Ford EcoSport launch team was judged the Best PR Team at the NDTV Car n Bike - All About Ads awards while the Royal Enfield Continental GT launch campaign was judged the Best Integrated Campaign by the NDTV Car n Bike - All About Ads awards 2014.

Editing the magazine before sending it to press, coordinating between the editorial, design, photography and production teams, managing print and other deadlines, coordinating with other media and publications for content sharing. Additional responsibilities include writing feature articles, generating content, and planning and execution of articles.

Reporting news, coordinating and conducting car reviews for Business Today, a monthly business magazine, and overseeing the conception and execution of the Motoring Section of the weekly news magazine TheWeek on a fortnightly basis.

Sourcing news from the city infrastructure beat in Kolkata and those related to the Indian Armed Forces' Eastern Command. In addition to these I was also required to generate and then execute feature and special stories of human and general interest.
