Aniruddha Roy, Ph.D. is Chief Technology Officer at Genesys International Corporation Ltd, an advanced geospatial company with its headquarters in Mumbai, India. He is responsible for enabling business through conceptualizing applications as relevant to the vertical business segment through emerging technologies. Prior to this, he was Vice President- Strategic Business Group (GIS) in Navayuga Engineering Company Ltd. and responsible for the technical operations in GIS across Navayuga group companies for 7 years. He has served more than a decade at ESRI India in various positions. He has over 30 years of experience in geospatial technologies. He has a sound technical knowledge in GIS platforms and presents technology solutions on various vertical domains as applicable to governance at various national and international forums. He is experienced in the development and implementation of GIS-based applications for industry. He is currently a Co Chair of ‘FICCI National council of Geospatial committee’ in FICCI, New Delhi and also a technical member of ‘geospatial committee’ of Bureau of Indian Standards ( BIS), Government of India. He was a member of ‘FICCI UAV policy formation committee’. He has been Consultant to various funding agencies like DFID, The World Bank and other international agencies during his career.
