Currently handling Purchase of materials for EPC-Engineering Procurement Construction 7 + Projects.Materials in Civil construction,Machinery Parts,Instrumentation of plants and off the road vehicles. I also monitor the performance of the supply chain, including hiring of rental machines and contractor’s deployment, with a focus on ironing out any problem areas,Logistics, Warehouse,Inter state movement of Goods with statutory permits,Inventory Management & Control. I handle reporting of progress to corporate headquarters and training and monitoring of my team members' performance to ensure efficiency in operations and meeting individual and group targets. I handle MIS of monthly expenditure and allocation of budgets as well as spearhead the control of purchase and managing commercial OPEX and CAPEX purchases I choose suitable manufacturers and suppliers with the project managers/engineers and oversee drafting and issue of purchase orders with the selected vendors, price and technical specifications Am currently developing alternate vendor base to achieve cost reduction, increase revenues, streamline process workflow I also aim to create team work environment to enhance productivity in-house and on the vendor’s sideAchievements: Recognized for leadership excellence through managing the purchase of materials in 33 Projects in North East India - including Railways tunnels,Mining, a five-star hospitality project, commercial real estate and projects for the National Highways Authority of India Also worked on National Highway Authority of India NHAI,National Rural Health Mission NRHM,Public works department- PWD, Hospital service consultancy Corporation-HSCC Government of Assam, World Bank and Asian Development Bank, Marriot international 5 Star Hotel. Reduced cycle time by 90% from Request for Quotation stage to ordering stage; negotiated price and delivery and achieved overall 25% to 40%discounts
