My name is Anisa Patel, I am a sophomore studying business at the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. I plan on attaining a degree in marketing. I have always found that marketing suits me best as I love the fast-paced and evolving environment. Working in a collaborative setting is something that I enjoy because I love being able to share ideas with those around me to try and create something that is effective as well as innovative. I would love to specialize in the social media industry because of how prevalent it is in today’s society. I believe that social media is a great way to market companies and I would love to offer my skills to help promote businesses. As a current student, I hope to develop as many skills as I can to help me prosper in the workforce. Throughout high school, I was involved in many different clubs. I participated in DECA and was a member of the National Honors Society. In DECA, I worked with my peers to help improve a local business and think of ways to help market the business, as well. I enjoyed being in this club as it helped me grow professionally and allowed me to collaborate with my peers. I was inducted into the National Honors Society during my junior year and was picked by my teachers to be one of the few students chosen. Within this organization, I led and participated in lots of community service and volunteered throughout my school.
