I have the privilege of running my own Speech Therapy practice that focuses on making therapy accessible through the provision of teletherapy. I am passionate about empowering people who stutter and training caregivers to facilitate early language stimulation. At Anisha Reddy Speech Therapy we understand the value of learning in one's home language and are privileged to be able to provide speech therapy in English, Afrikaans, isiXhosa and isiZulu.

At My Online Therapist we strive to provide accessible therapy solutions to all in need. As a speech therapist, I work with children of all ages to improve their ability to communicate effectively.

During this year, I worked at a private practice that serviced six hospitals and two schools, in addition to seeing outpatients at our rooms. I gained a wealth of experience working with complex dysphagia cases, such as: people with tracheostomies, Dementia, Parkinson’s disease, Mental healthcare conditions, multiple CVAs, Guillain Barre syndrome and cardiac conditions. As well as people affected by aphasia, apraxia of speech, dysfluency and dysarthria in the acute and subacute settings. I have also gained exposure to dysphagia in the neonatal population. I would have loved to continue serving this community, as I felt I was truly making and impact and growing tremendously as a therapist. However, my position was eliminated as a result of Covid-19 financial fallouts.

I am the sole speech-language therapist based at Reitvlei Hospital and servicing East Griqualand and Usher Memorial (EGUM) Hospital. While I am primarily based at Rietvlei Hospital, I provide services to in- and outpatients at EGUM hospital on a monthly basis. My responsibilities, at Rietvlei Hospital include: - managing six inpatient wards (maternity/nursery, paediatrics, male and female medical, male and female surgical) - providing services to outpatients (paediatric and adult) - providing services to 11 community-based clinics on a monthly basis, as part of MDT outreach - running a monthly MDT CP group - attending SASLHA meetings - representing the Speech Therapy department at district meetings - general admin - conducting bi-monthly stocktake and managing necessary orders for the rehabilitation departmentI am passionate about: - dysphagia - apraxia of speech - cerebral palsy - stuttering
