In previous roles at the LA Food Policy Council, I organized bimonthly networking events to build partnerships and capacity among stakeholders and advocates focused on food, attended by around 150 people across public, private and non-profit sectors. Meeting topics explored the intersections of food and climate resiliency, social innovation, preventative healthcare, restorative justice, food waste, participatory democracy and collective impact. I developed the organization's online media presence and enhanced the organization’s internal and external communications infrastructure. In 2013, I worked closely with LAFPC Leadership Board Members to release the “2013 Los Angeles Food System Snapshot,” which provides important baseline information on the state of the Los Angeles regional foodshed. -
