• Responsible for patient recruitment including screening, consenting, and performing study assessments for imaging clinical studies in children with Arterial Ischemic Stroke.• Primarily coordinating the multi-center drug trial in neonates diagnosed with Perinatal Arterial Ischemic Stroke (DINOSAUR) which includes- screening and consenting, coordinate study drug administration, MRI scans and schedule follow-up visits.• Biobank: Managing and organizing the stroke biobank which houses more than 4000 bio samples to be used for future research including genetic testing like Whole Genome Sequencing, etc.

• Under the PI, develop MSA (Multiple System Atrophy) Clinical and Translational Program, which involves designing protocols, performing case reviews to determine patient eligibility for clinical trials.• Build a biorepository for the MSA program towards improving future clinical research by performing exploratory analyses & collaborating with other researchers/sponsors.• Assist the PI in developing protocol for Parkinson’s disease investigator-initiated clinical trials involving medical devices. • Writing journal abstracts and manuscripts by interpreting study data and analyze results using statistical methods and programming (SAS) and validating the results.• Manage & conduct various complex movement disorder clinical trials by maintaining protocol specific SOP's, IRB and regulatory correspondence, demonstrate an awareness of federal regulations; state and local law; GCP/ICH and CCHMC policies to promote ethical practices in research involving human participants and to ensure compliance to those regulations. Brain Tissue Banking:• Educating prospective brain donors and their family members on the value of brain donation, and walk them through the logistics required in case they consent. • Ensuring that the potential donor meets the eligibility criteria for the program by studying medical records and consulting with the family and treating physicians.• To provide and maintain all the documentation involved in a brain donation process.• Conduct regular updates on pending referrals for continued evaluation of donor eligibility and key contact information. Be available 24/7 to receive calls when death is imminent (or occurred). • Coordination with local dieners and funeral homes as well as with the Pathology department at Columbia to insure fast and safe delivery of brain donation to processing. • Maintaining electronic database of prospective donors and streamlining of the data obtained for presentation in academic conferences and scientific publications.
