I am a sophomore at Emory University pursuing a B.S. in Environmental Science on the Social Science and Policy track as a Robert W. Woodruff Scholar. I am passionate about advancing equitable, effective climate policy and solutions that bridge institutions and communities. I've been able to pursue this passion through opportunities as an intern with the Massachusetts Executive Office for Energy and Environmental Affairs as well as national climate nonprofits and political advocacy. I plan to pursue a career as an environmental lawyer and community advocate to defend just, science-based climate policy. Ultimately, I want to ensure that this planet's institutions and the Earth itself transform into sustainable environments for those who need them the most.I hope to connect with other interdisciplinary individuals who are driven to find climate solutions. Feel free to check out my background below, and you can always contact me at anissa.patel2023@gmail.com!
