I am a graduate of Western Michigan University’s Haworth College of Business. I majored in Accountancy and Finance with a minor in Economics. I currently work as a Cost Analyst at Barton Malow.Leadership/Teamwork: When I am assigned a group project, I take the initiative to take leadership within my group. I utilize my leadership skills by setting deadlines for the group, assigning certain tasks for each person, and helping plan the dates for us to meet. I work very well in a team setting because I played for the Western Michigan University’s Varsity Softball Team. Being on a collegiate team has taught me many traits and skills that include being self-motivated, motivating others, managing my time, and considering other people’s input. Professional: While working as a cost analyst, I have been able to enhance many skills. I am able to improve my organizational skills by handling multiple projects and many tasks at once. I interacted with multiple people daily which enhanced my written and verbal communication skills. I also am able to work on following both written and verbal instructions. With many interruptions, I learned to work quick and efficiently. I demonstrate my analytical skills daily, by working with project budgets and forecasting our profit.
