Hello! My name is Anissa Silva and I am a University of California Berkeley alumni who majored in Social Welfare and double minored in Education and African American Studies. I am interested in expanding my professional experience and would love to work for an organization that is dedicated to alleviating social justice issues. I want to learn more about the racial politics of public education and how the criminalization of students of color affects their educational and or employment outcomes. I want to alleviate the disproportionate discipline of black and brown youth and help them continue with their higher education.
