Under my leadership we successfully allocated over $800,000,000 in federal funding to the future of Highland Park in order to fund Public Infrastructure and development including Lead Filled Pipelines contaminating their water, Public Lighting, Educational Programs, Public Assistance Programs, and more.

The Highland Park Business Association (HPBA) was established by a group of concerned businesses, community leaders, and residents. Together, they work to promote a safe, positive environment where businesses and all organizations in the community can grow and prosper. Since the group was established in 2000, its membership has grown significantly.The HPBA wants to effect systemic change with several initiatives:•Promoting and encouraging economic development•Coordinating and advocating with governmental agencies•Supporting public safety and facade improvement programs•Networking with other businesses, organizations, and religious institutions•Maintaining linkages with educational institutions and support programs that benefit youth•Disseminating information to businessesThe Highland Park Business Association organizes programs to enhance and expand businesses in Highland Park. We are a partner of the Highland Park Arts & Cultural Council which seeks to enrich the lives of residents of Highland Park by integrating arts and culture directly into our community revitalization.

The National Business League Inc., an organization founded by Booker T. Washington in 1900, has relocated its headquarters to Detroit from Washington, D.C. The National Business League is made up of 365 chapters serving more than 15,000 members.“Detroit is now the center of black businesses in the United States and the world, and we will support diversity, help entrepreneurs create jobs and grow their businesses, and help students learn more about how businesses are run though the National Student Business League.” In addition to Detroit serving as the national headquarters at the 1001 Woodward Building just north of Campus Martius Park, the city will serve as a regional Midwest office. It will be joined by regional offices in Washington, D.C. (East), Atlanta (South), and Los Angeles (West). Collectively, National Business League members employ close to one million people and have a purchasing power of $1.2 trillion.

Past Founding Director of Walker’s Legacy (Detroit Chapter) - a national business collective for Women of Color, with over 40,000 in membership, 21 chapters nationally, and 5 countries. Formerly partnered with the Obama Administration, the initiative is to provide a generational wealth platform for entrepreneurs and professionals. Anistia had founded several programs for Walker’s Legacy since it’s Detroit May 2016 inception, including its Power 25 Women Leaders (currently in 10 cities), Single Mothers of Color initiative with the WLKellogg Foundation training and graduating 30 Women of low income households awarding start up business grants, Clean Water Initiative, The FoodPreneurs Series, Online Accelerator Prospectus Program graduating 75 female entrepreneurs, Detroit Business Wealth, Revenue and Profit Events, a national partnership with SCORE- enrolling 200 women of color for their Mentoring program (the largest recruitment SCORE has seen in over 25 years) a University Cohort launched at Michigan State University, and recruiting for international editorial opportunities for Detroit businesswomen. She is The Co-Founder of the Madam CJ Walker’s Legacy Entrepreneurship Institute for Women.

Advisory Member African American Initiative of The Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago which under her work identified color barriers in funding opportunities, pushed character based funding initiatives and suggested regulations in requiring financial institutions to lend to inner city start up businesses in Wayne County. As a result over $1.2 Billion has been deployed for business owners of color in Metropolitan Detroit as a result of her work.National Board Director of The National Business League (NBL), Inc., a historical organization founded by Booker T. Washington in 1900. The NBL now comprises 365 leagues (chapters) across the country, creating a national platform with access to 2.5 million Black businesses in the United States. The NBL is a not-for-profit, enterprise dedicated to the economic empowerment of Black businesses, communities and people. Anistia was also Director of the Women of Color Board. Anistia was a National Entrepreneurial Mentor with Google on their leadership/skill building for entrepreneurs and professionals campaign with outreach to 6 million subscribers.Ad Hoc Advocate- Led the advocacy/ effort and saved 2500 low income Highland Park property owners from losing their property due to city property tax fee foreclosure. Facilitated an Emergency Townhall with the partnership of Housing and Urban Development, ACLU, The Michigan Civil Rights Association and other key community liaisons. A few special projects facilitated included: SAFE of Washtenaw County, where the AAYBCC hosted a book drive of inspirational, economic, small business instructional empowerment reading materials for battered women, as well as serving as Operations Budget Lead for My Brothers Keeper under the Barack Obama Administration.Anistia had partnered with the Washtenaw Economic Development Council to offer the first of its kind, African American Contractors bidding opportunities on Washtenaw contracts. She also established a partnership with Washtenaw's own Black Contractor's Association Chapter. Establishing Washtenaw County's first Political Forum where political candidates were called to specifically address how they would represent African American business owners of Washtenaw County if elected. With National coverage by MSNBC, the event confirmed the largest Michigan political candidate participant forum to date-over 75 participating candidates including US Senator Gary Peters, and US Congresswoman Debbie Dingell.

Anistia is Founder of the JarLuxe Foundation, a New York based non-profit, created to educate underprivileged youth about the executive side of the fashion business world and is a resource of career & academic opportunities in the industry. The organization is currently partnered with the world’s top luxury fashion companies including Louis Vuitton & Chanel, New York Department of Education (with a reach of 30,000 students), and Major League Baseball (MLB), and all of the top Fashion institutions in New York to name a few.
