Serve as a lead for utilities engineering between operations, maintenance, manufacturing, automation, quality assurance, validation and project engineering. Work closely with a cross-functional team to meet the needs of the groups they support.Responsible for providing engineering expertise to support the design, installation, commissioning, validation and operation of the clean utility systems, oversight of operational and troubleshooting support for the HVAC system distribution with strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and cGMP's.Serve as the subject matter expert. Provides technical expertise for all phases associated with utility/facility systemsResponsible for cGMP facility design and improvement projects (Cleanrooms, Labs, ISO classes, HVAC, Refrigeration, Freezers, Environmental rooms, etc). Play an essential leadership role in the operation and troubleshooting of the utility systems.Review and make recommendations to management for utility equipment replacement as part of the life cycle improvement process and continuous improvement initiative planning.Manage small-scale capital projects, creating scope of work, justification, cost estimates and implementing purchase order requisitions.Provide support to the Capital Projects Team assisting with equipment submittal reviews, MEP specification and drawing reviews, FAT’s/SAT’s, turnover package reviews ensuring that the documentation is accurate and complete and meets specifications.

Project management:•Prepared conceptual design in conjunction with project team.•Reviewed basic & detailed engineering design prepared by consultant and prepared URS for utility equipment.•Planned, estimated, budgeted, scheduled, and managed capital cleanroom infrastructure & utility (HVAC system, chilled & hot water system, boiler, and clean & dirty steam system, water treatment plant, etc.) projects ranging from $2 to $250 million.•Designed and managed energy-efficient utility and HVAC system retrofit projects resulting in annual saving of >$125000. •Prepared request for quotation, technical bid tabulations, evaluation, & recommendation in conjunction with global procurement.•Evaluated change requests including design changes, specifications and drawings, and report status.•Served as design and project engineer overseeing all contractors, scheduling and coordination of work for the installation, commissioning, and qualification work of cleanroom HVAC system.•Developed strategic relationships with internal and external customers.Facilities Maintenance: •Managed and lead work teams/employees within the department.•Developed & reviewed operation and maintenance procedures for plant utility and equipment. Provided operational support to production in a proactive hands-on manner.•Planned and executed Preventive maintenance.•Supported process operations with troubleshooting & analysis of current systems to improve the effectiveness and provide technical leadership in support of productivity improvement and cost reduction projects.•Provided timely response to manufacturing difficulties, to troubleshoot possible causes and coordinate the activities of maintenance personnel and other available resources. •Investigated utility system and process equipment failures to identify the root cause. Identify and implement corrective and preventative actions (CAPA) to prevent repeat failures.
