It just didn't give me enough time working on my passion to serve and develop others. So, I leapt. I was without title, perks, company, industry, and paycheck.And the net appeared. In ways I couldn't have predicted. By trusting my own journey. And spending time with incredible, inspirational people. And starting my own leadership consulting company.I had the gift of a sabbatical. I spent this time developing a business, traveling, volunteering, and paying it forward through emotional intelligence coaching and leadership/organizational development to select 501(c)(3) organizations. I completed my professional coaching certification with the International Coaching Federation. I made myself available as a speaker on a variety of diversity, emotional intelligence, business leadership, talent management and engagement topics. And I built back up the reserves that matter in our lives--friends, family, health, finances, community and quiet. I certified in Myers-Briggs. I coached individuals in transition who were ready to create their "perfect" life. I was brought in by the President of Red Lobster and the SVP HR to leverage my multi-unit restaurant operations experience as the company began its transformational culture change. Working with best practice consultants, I led the design and implementation of Red Lobster's employee engagement surveys and leadership 360 surveys aligned with the company's new vision, mission and core values.I led the development and implementation of Red Lobster's new performance management, created HR metrics and culture change management initiatives.

My operations career began with Red Lobster working my way through college. I joined the leadership ranks as a service manager, and ultimately was promoted to Director of Operations. My responsibilities spanned multiple regions, including development of new market restaurant openings and assignments in difficult turn-around markets. As a multi-unit casual dining restaurant operator, I was accountable for $30M+ in sales, 10-15 restaurants, 60 managers, in tri-state area.Looking back, this position remains among my favorites in playing to my strengths, my passions, my desire to add value to leaders, and my business management expertise!
