Worked as a Station Captain supervised 10 firefighters and provided incident command on emergency response calls. Also was the Safety Officer and initiated the Health and Safety Program, training over 20 firefighters to be peer trainers in addition to acquiring the funds to build a centralized fitness center for all firefighters (over 800) at DCFR. Worked with Training Dept. to provide fitness assessments to new hires and worked with the Health dept. to schedule medical fitness assessment to all personnel.Instrumental in initiating the development of the position of Wellness and Fitness Coordinator.
