The inaugural Australian VA Conference (AVAC) was held in Melbourne in March 2010. The two subsequent ones were also held in Melbourne with the fourth being recently held in Sydney and Brisbane. The 2019 AVAC will be held in Melbourne on 15 and 16 March.

As one of the foundation committee members, assisted in formation of the programs and topics, assisted with registration and moderating the sessions during the event. Coined the phrase IVAD (International Virtual Assistants Day) which is celebrated on the second Friday in May.

The role included:Responding to discussions/questions in our Facebook group, again related to your designated area of expertise as well as commenting on other posts as well. Make one “Mentor Post” per week.Sharing new tools/resources where appropriate to our community.Participation on the VAClassroom Advisory board where you will offer input on new programs and courses to be offered at the University. The commitment will be one online meeting per semester to provide feedback on the new curriculum for the coming semester.

AVAA (Australian Virtual Assistants Association) is a non-profit organisation dedicated to the education and development of its members as part of the professional Virtual Assistance industry, and to educating the public on the role and function of the Virtual Assistant here in Australia.AVAA dissolved on 19 March 2020 and merged to AAVIP.

The AVCA (Australian Veterinary Chiropractic Association) membership only comprises Australian university qualified Animal Chiropractic professionals, with degrees in Chiropractic, Osteopathy or Veterinary Medicine at least, followed by a Graduate Diploma in Animal Chiropractic, or the Master of Chiropractic Science (Animal Chiropractic). All AVCA members are registered practitioners in the State in which they practice, and problems may also be reported to the relevant practitioner Registration Board.

ANZATSA is committed to community protection and safety. When considering case management or intervention we hold the interest and safety of victims and potential victims, as always the priority.ANZATSA recognises that the diverse indigenous cultures and people of Australia and New Zealand occupy a special place as the original cultures and people of both countries. Our members carry out their work in ways appropriate to and respectful of the Aboriginal peoples of Australia and Torres Strait Islands and the Maori peoples of Aotearoa (New Zealand). This includes consulting with, working alongside, and sharing resources with Indigenous peoples.ANZATSA members do not discriminate against clients with regard to race, religion, gender identity, sexual preference or disability. Instead, our members seek to perform professional duties with the highest level of integrity, maintaining confidentiality within the scope of statutory responsibilities.ANZATSA has approximately 200 members across Australia and New Zealand who work for government departments, NGO’s, or in private practice. Members work within the disciplines of psychology, psychiatry, social work, child protection, abuse prevention, child education, community education, and professional education.ANZATSA promotes collegial networks, knowledge sharing, and advancing work in the prevention of sexual abuse. ANZATSA offers regular professional development events for members and colleagues, including seminars, workshops, and a biennial conference.

VOTA merged with ANZATSA in October 2012.
