I struggled to write a profile blurb that balanced brevity and being personable, so instead I give you: two versions.Just the facts: I specialize in complex problem solving and driving organizational change. My toolkit is a mix of market research, process improvement, behavior design, facilitation, and change management. The one that sounds like me: If you skim my profile, you might wonder how I started in HR and ended up in IT. (Moment of honesty: I sometimes do). The red thread through all my roles has been trying to understand why people do what they do – and turning that insight into better decisions and processes. So I am the person you bring in when problems are fuzzy and human, when you need someone to ask lots of questions, challenge assumptions, and maybe even inject a little energy into a project. I am at my best when I am connecting people to solve problems and experimenting to find the best solution. And then you will probably notice that I object to the notion that work by nature must be hard, boring, or devoid of human touch to be productive. Outside of work I am a daily walker, second soprano in a choir, mentor to recent graduates, ballet enthusiast, giant fan of Brené Brown, Barbara Minto, and Arthur Brooks, forever teetering on the edge of being a book hoarder, and that person who stops to pet every dog they meet.
