Implementation project lead for Ariba e-sourcing and contract management tool. Provides training, manages tool updates, and ongoing system/template/process enhancements to improve tool adoption. Responsible for the Supplier Selection process and the Contract process. Implementation Lead for a 3rd party service provider who qualifies our significant Contractors and Raw Material Suppliers. Designs and presents new and ongoing training.

Responsible for supporting Procurement in the areas of strategic sourcing, spend analysis, reporting, systems design, implementation and training.  Supported the transition of indirect procurement systems from SAP to Oracle i-Procurement for Cephalon integration. Analyzed spend data, identified synergies for sourcing, created “how to” training tutorials, and reviewed and harmonized policies and procedures.  Core team member leading the implementation of Oracle iProcurement with punchout technology. On boarded 8 national suppliers with support from IT.  Performed Indirect spend assessment reviewing all North American spend and categorized into commodity buckets to support Workplan 2012. Supported the design, testing, implementation and training of a Business Intelligence dashboard for metrics reporting including global savings template, supplier performance and purchase price variance.  Coordinated the update of the Supplier Add/Change policy, process and required documentation to support the new Regional Procurement Organization. Created online forms and checklists and provided training.  Managed a $555K Mailroom Facility Services sourcing initiative saving $149K or 27%. Redesigned the Procurement Portal to regionalize the content and to make our communication to customers faster and more complete.

Managed and championed a diverse portfolio of strategic sourcing endeavors for selected Indirect goods and services. Drove the sourcing process and know-how throughout the organization bringing best practices and tools sharing across efforts. Provided adhoc support to Procurement and internal stakeholders.  Collected and analyzed spend data as principal Sourcing Analyst for over 100 cross-functional synergy teams during the Dow Chemical and Rohm and Haas merger to support Procurements 10% savings goal. Presented with a “Bravo Award” for my contribution. Led 27 multiple and concurrent strategic sourcing projects addressing $52.4M in spend and responsible for delivering $5.5M in P&L savings.  Designed and developed a spend analysis initiative in North America addressing $700M in Indirect spend. Identified 15 top impact projects valued at $74.5M. Core team member who collaborated with IT to select and implement a spend analytics system addressing over $5B in spend resulting in faster identification and validation of data for sourcing initiatives. Presented with a “Bravo Award” for my contribution. Recognized by CEO for a highly visible “deep dive” three year trend analysis, graphically presented, that identified five projects responsible for the upswing in consulting spend found during an audit.  Eliminated the $1M outsourced laboratory equipment maintenance program and initiated an in-house program for P&L savings of $.25M and defend savings of $.6M. Formed a partnership with Logistics during the $10M Hazardous Waste sourcing project resulting in $.6M in savings and the development of a Transportation Analysis Model which showed optimal savings solutions per location. Conceptualized and developed the “layered” Strategic Sourcing Process website. Developed / co-developed key tools, templates, and checklists. Created material and provided training on the Sourcing Process and the Porters Five Forces to global Procurement.

Managed a portfolio of Laboratory spend categories (supplies, chemicals, gas cylinders, bulk gases, equipment, equipment maintenance, analytical testing, and toxicology studies) in North America. Prepared and analyzed RFX’s to determine best provider. Negotiated and awarded contracts and implemented across sites. Handled day to day procurement activities.  Managed 10 national strategic agreements valued at $32M that achieved $4.5M in savings and delivered significant service enhancements to our 50+ sites. Developed and fostered the strategic partnerships.  Outsourced maintenance contracts for laboratory equipment across 15 locations resulting in $700K savings on $2.5M spend and 50% reduction in the number of vendors.  Negotiated national bulk gas contract which provided savings of $415K by eliminating all future service charge increases and removal of all surcharges.  Led cross-functional integration teams to consolidate and implement strategic laboratory contracts after a corporate merger generating $1M in savings and improved service.  Technical representative on a management team that selected and implemented ARIBA Buyer system. Developed SOP’s and training programs. Reengineered ARIBA to adapt to the needs of Research including the ability to add one-off vendors and track and report hazardous chemicals.  Created commodity market intelligence profiles to manage strategic spend. Gathered data from various internet alerts, in-house Knowledge Center, industry news, and vendors. Benchmarked with other chemical industry leaders for best-in-class practices. Designed and maintained four websites for Procurement.

Managed a portfolio of R&D spend categories for the Research Technical Center. Designed, implemented, and audited the company’s national Procard program. Incorporating the Procard in conjunction with our Procurement System to streamline the payment process. Created, conducted, analyzed, and reported on the annual Customer Satisfaction Survey sent to 1000 Research employees. Made recommendations to improve customer satisfaction. Designed and contributed articles for the regional Procurement quarterly newsletter getting key information out to our internal customers.
