As a freelance writer for Digital Trends' Computing section, my work currently involves (and has included in the past) the following: 1.) Writing for the Computing section, which entailed: Researching and writing daily news articles about technology, specifically computers. Developed and implemented educational STEAM/STEM programming for local teens. Maintained collection of library resources and instructed customers on how to best utilize them. Designed local branch marketing materials to advertise teen programming and highlight library resources. Developed and hosted educational programming, which included topics such as.

Shelved books, answered phones, processed holds and check-ins and answered customer questions.

I write articles, which so far, includes feature, news and blog-style pieces. I also occasionally fact-check other writers' articles. I mostly cover food, drinks and technology, but I'm always up for reporting on and writing up an interesting story on any subject.

Wrote short news briefs and longer-form features. Fact-checked stories and uploaded photo galleries. Transcribed tape-recorded interviews. Learned how to use a new content management system, Movable Type. Was published in both the subscription-only magazine, PASTE.com and the pastemagazine.com website. Took over news editor duties for a day while staff was.

I was a columnist and a member of The Red and Black's Opinions Staff. As a member of the Editorial Board I was a regular contributor to the paper's weekly section the "Opinion Meter," providing brief, often humorous commentary on the week's events.
