Anita is the principal of Axis Vidyashram, Far-West Nepal's most trusted high school with over 2300 students. She is the chairperson of Nova Hospital Pvt. Ltd. She is also a mother of two. Anita is a dynamic, hardworking, and enthusiastic entrepreneurial woman from the Far-Western Region of Nepal. Her priorities lie in increasing access to education and healthcare for the border community, empowering women leaders, and giving back to society. Her values of humility, integrity, and selflessness have guided her throughout her professional and personal life. Under her leadership, Axis has grown She grew Axis from 150 students in 2009 to over 2300 students in 2200. Over 25% of students at Axis receive some sort of financial aid. Over 2/3rd of faculty members are women. Under Anita, Axis became one of the first private schools in the entire Western Region of Nepal to provide its teachers and staff with pay that is equal to, or greater than the standard government salary, in addition to healthcare and retirement benefits. Anita aims to develop Axis as the leader in education not only in Western Nepal but the entire country. She spearheaded the founding of Nova Hospital Pvt. Ltd. in 2016 and sits on its board of directors as the chairperson. In addition to this, she is active in local charity clubs such as Lions, Rotary (former District Vice President), and Kiwanis.
