I am a self motivated mental health nurse who has 21 years of experience working in this industry. Leadership, nurse education and empowerment are my life's goals. Currently I work as an infection Preventionist for a ped behavioral health facility and love to come up with creative ways to ensure the safety and sanity of my clients and employees during the most challenging times. Most days, I plan for the worst and then hope we never get there! I spend time educating staff on vaccine compliance, but the vaccine hesitancy is real Education, surveillance, addressing concerns and using my detective skills to identify bad germs while ensuring everyone is doing the right thing to prevent them is my specialty!My previous job as a Registered Nurse Clinician B in a forensic psych unit has helped shift my focus each day on innovative techniques of providing clinical experience s for the nurses, to promote staff satisfaction and retention, while providing trauma informed care in a recovery focused mileau to my clients.
