I've been in love with stories my whole life — from bedtime folktales to scholastic journalism in high school, my identity as a storyteller took me everywhere. I became a writer, a reporter, an enthusiastic reader, and now, a student of English at UT. I'm honored to learn the language I love and its literature. I'd always thought I would pursue a career around writing: it seemed the natural path for me. After I took an art history course in my senior year of high school, however, I realized words weren't the only way to tell stories. Art, in all its visual beauty, held as much interpretive power as my favorite novels.Today, I'm looking for ways to intertwine my love for words and my love for art, volunteering at UT's museum, The Blanton, and continuing to write for campus publications. I hope to pursue my interest in art and museum studies in graduate school.
