I am an experienced public health professional, passionate about making a difference to the health and wellbeing of all sections of society. But especially those who are underserved, facing discrimination and hardship - addressing the considerable challenges of health inequalities. I have additional qualifications and interest in health economics, which I believe is a vital discipline that supports practising the science and art of public health. Evidence-based practice is very important to me and should form the foundation of any public health initiatives. Leadership and developing this in a public health context is another area of great interest to me. I am also deeply interested in system transformation and innovation. From mid February 2022 I assumed the role of Director of Public Health for the Kent County Council.
