Head (O&M) for CHP & AHP catering to 900MW coal based Thermal Power Plant.To achieve maximum plant availability, reliability with optimum utilization of 1700 TPH CHP with total 15kms conveyor length, Crushers, VGFs, Wagon Tipplers, Stacker/Reclaimers etc. Ensure Reliability Centered Maintenance for the CHP equip. & Heavy Earth Movers to achieve zero breakdown, maximum MTBF & OEE, minimum MTTR. Effective Coal Yard Management having coal storage capacity 5 Lakhs MT & yearly coal consumption 36 Lakhs MT. Heavy Earthmovers and Bull-Dozer’s maintenance in terms of quality & quantity at optimum O&M cost within assigned budget. Spare parts planning & procurement to ensure JIT availability & minimum shop floor inventory.To monitor, review & implement the optimum utilization of manpower & resources to deliver uninterrupted coal feeding (quality & quantity) 10500 MT/day to Boiler Bunkers for the desired power generation. Execution of major Capex and large improvement projects including people development and their growth. Troubleshooting of complex problems with proper Root cause analysis, Recurrence prevention plan involving the team members.Implementation of Environment & Safety norms to achieve zero accident & zero pollution.Effective contract management for timely work execution & bill payment. Vendor development to minimize spares, service cost and for improvement in productivity.Continuously increase the Fly Ash utilization to achieve 100% target on sustainable basis.B2B service for Ash utilization between Hindalco & Cement Cos, Brick making Cos, Road Construction agencies/departments, Land filling and exploring other innovative ways of Ash utilization. Risk mitigation by effective Ash Dyke Management as per safety & environmental norms.

Head-PMG & Planning at L&T Piping Centre Hazira (Surat), to manage order receipt to execution process of projects from receiving the customer’s order to deliver piping spools to site for Thermal Power Plant as well as for other projects in Oil & Gas and in Nuclear Power plant. Lead a team of engineers & staff in the function. I was reporting to the Head-Manufacturing/Business Head.

Worked as Head-Mechanical at HO & Project site, looked after Project planning, monitoring & review of construction schedule, coordinated with project execution team & other stake holders for timely completing the BoP work of 2x600 MW thermal Power Project of MPPGCL Khandwa, 2x 600 MW DB Power Raigarh, RRVUNL Chhabra (2x660 MW) etc. focusing on CHP (1750 TPH including Track Hopper, Paddle Feeders, Wagon Tipplers, Apron Feeders, Grizzly Feeders, V/Feeders, Crushers, Stacker Re-claimer, Coal Bunkers etc.), Fuel Oil Handling System, Ash Handling Plant including bottom ash and fly ash evacuation & disposal system with related equipments, Raw Water Intake System, DM Water & PT plant, CW system, Fire Detection & Protection system, Hydrogen Generation Plant, LP Piping etc. Team building & skill development. Lead a team of engineers who looked after different packages. Reported to Head- CMCC at HO, L&T Power Vadodara (Gujarat)

I was HoD-CHM (including CHP, Automobile workshop, Aerial Ropeways (Mono cable & Bi-cable), expansion/renovation projects for CHP catering to the need of 742 MW CPP for Hindalco-Renusagar.

Implemented Best practices in Coal Handling performance, Coal loss accounting, coal sampling etc. & won First prize for this at ABG-Coal Conference-2007 held in Mumbai. Got the award of Aditya Birla Values Championship. Implemented SOPs to ensure zero Accident, zero Breakdown & maximum plant availability with cost effective methods.

Head-CHP(Maint.) catering to the CPP- 742 MW of Hindalco. Excellent achievements on the front of team building, Quality, Safety, Environment, WCM, cost saving, plant availability improvement by reduction in MTTR & improvement in MTBF and OEE/OPE etc.

Worked for loss prevention in the Out of Flash Furnace area. Maintenance of Converter, Anode Furnace, 50/20/20 Ton EOT Cranes, Launders, Anode Casting Wheel and related material handling equipments and workshop etc.

Head-Mining Machinery Repair workshop, Fabrication & Machine shops, Compressor Houses catering to the need of KCC Mines & Cu-Smelter plant. Maint. of Heavy Earthmovers, Diesel Engines, Railway Tracks, Diesel & Battery Locos, GB Cars, Hydraulic & Pneumatic equipment, Pumps & Compressors etc. Also worked as shift-in-charge for Cu-smelter and as Head-OFF area in the Copper Smelter plant.

Erection & Commissioning of Bulk Material Handling system (450TPH), Copper ore Crushing, Conveying & Hoisting system. O&M of the same system, Maintenance of Pumps, Compressors, Heavy earthmovers, Drilling machines etc. catering to the need of Copper Mines. In-charge for the Transportation system including 1600 KW & 400 KW Winders (winches), Cages, Service Shaft & Production Shaft, Diesel Loco, Battery Loco, GB Cars, Skips for Cu ore hoisting etc.
