Joined the Brokerage team where we would collaborate closely with trading desks, compliance teams, clients, custodians, clearinghouses, and other internal and external stakeholders to support the overall functioning of the brokerage operations.-Reconciliation and Control: Perform trade and position reconciliations to ensure accurate and consistent records across multiple systems and counterparties. Reconciliations trade details, cash flows, and positions to identify and resolve any discrepancies or exceptions. Implement control processes to mitigate operational risks and ensure data integrity.-Client Onboarding and Support: Assist in the onboarding of new brokerage clients. Offer ongoing support to clients, addressing inquiries, providing trade confirmations, and assisting with account-related or trade-related issues.-Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, such as those imposed by financial regulatory authorities and securities exchanges. Stay updated on regulatory changes, implement necessary controls and reporting mechanisms, and collaborate with compliance teams to fulfill regulatory obligations.-Reporting and Data Management: Generate and distribute various reports related to trade volumes, positions, settlements, and other relevant metrics. Part of the OTC Margin and Reconciliation clearing team responsible for managing and overseeing the clearing and settlement processes for OTC derivative transactions. The primary objective included mitigation of counterparty risk and ensure the smooth and efficient margin processing of OTC trades for exchanges like LCH, CME, Eurex and JSCC. Part of the Portfolio Reconciliation & Dispute Resolutions team ensuring reconciling investment data, investigating discrepancies and effectively resolving disputes to ensure accurate portfolio valuation and reporting.- Conduct daily, weekly, or monthly reconciliations of OTC trades and positions between internal systems and external counterparties- Investigate and resolve disputes related to OTC trades and positions-Collaborate with internal teams, such as traders, sales, and middle office, as well as external counterparties, to gather necessary information and documentation- Validate valuation methodologies, assess fair value pricing, and identify any discrepancies or pricing issues-Identify & assess operational risks associated with OTC operations, including trade reconciliation & dispute management processes and implement effective control -Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, such as EMIR (European Market Infrastructure Regulation) or Dodd-Frank Act, and internal policies-Build & maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including traders, middle office, risk management, and compliance teams-Continuously review and enhance OTC operational processes, workflows, and systems to increase efficiency and accuracy- Generate regular reports and dashboards on reconciliation results, dispute resolutions, and risk assessments- Provide management with insights and recommendations based on data analysis to enhance operational effectiveness and address potential risks or inefficiencies
