Vital Healthcare Capital (V-Cap) is a non-profit CDFI dedicated to strengthening affordable, quality healthcare in low-income communities. We finance community health centers and behavioral health organizations, advocate for health equity, and build partnerships to strengthen communities in need.

In a volunteer capacity, I designed and passed a policy platform to advocate for reform across several issues affecting younger Americans, including voting rights, affordable housing, and climate justice. I was responsible for hosting monthly Issues Assemblies with elected officials on a city and state-wide level to discuss relevant new legislation on these topics.

Completed a two-year graduate development program in roles supporting AllianzGI's sustainable funds. I worked alongside the portfolio management and sales teams to communicate the investment process, philosophy, and impact of our sustainable funds in alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. I also helped perform ESG due diligence on holdings for SRI and impact funds using MSCI, Sustainalytics, and Vigeo.

Worked on a new team tasked with creating and rolling out Equifax's Employee Value Proposition, which extends to over 9,000 employees globally. I also worked in a brand strategy-capacity in helping design and roll out a company ambassador program with a focus on recruiting from diverse student organizations such as African American Student Union and Society of Women in Business

Worked with of five other Industrial Engineering students to create a process improvement plan that reduced overtime expenses by $66,000 and enabled shorter project cycle times. We delivered a labor allocation tool for managers to continuously simulate project prioritization and labor distribution. Our team won first place in the Capstone Expo for this project.

Supported access to resources for students experiencing financial insecurity and helped draft a proposal to build a Center for First Generation and Low Income Students to promote equity and inclusion

Helped manage a $6.4M budget by working with over 400 student organizations to author bills funding campus-wide events. I worked alongside students and administrators to enhance student life and present solutions to campus issues. Some initiatives include:• Identifying how to foster inclusivity on campus by helping create a portal that allows students to lodge incidents of bias or discrimination• Gauging student opinion regarding the allowance of licensed guns on campus by marketing a campus-wide survey, which ultimately had 4,210 responses• Helping address student concern for the new Sexual Assault Misconduct Policy recently passed by the Board of Regents by hosting a series of Town Halls where students could engage with administrators, including the Undergraduate Dean of Students

Fostered community engagement in a hall of 96 residents by conducting bi-weekly hall programs and building-wide events. I found it particularly important to facilitate discussions on current events, allowing residents to better embrace diversity and develop social awareness.

Developed a supply chain model with three other students from varying disciplines to optimize stocking depot networks to provide cost effective and timely delivery of critical materials. Statistical analysis was conducted to forecast modifications that would help reduce healthcare machine downtime. We presented a two-phase solution would improve warehouse utilization by 34% and reduce shipping time by 13%. Additionally, yearly freight savings would amount to around $185,000 with this new plan. The team built the model to be scalable to all product lines in the future and our two-phase solution is currently in use after being presented to German executives for final approval.
