With over seven years of experience in leading and managing projects that support the socio-economic resilience and participation of vulnerable youth in Africa, Andreas is the Head of Project at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, a German development agency. He is responsible for overseeing the implementation and coordination of the PARSE 3 project, which aims to enhance the opportunities and capacities of young women and men in 17 municipalities in the three Northern regions of Cameroon, using a nexus approach that links resilience to sustainable development.Andreas has a strong background in international relations, civic education, and peace building, as well as a deep understanding of the political, social, and cultural contexts of the countries he works in. He has previously headed the Nigerian Liaison Office of MISEREOR, a German Catholic development agency, and the Jesuit Refugee Service's mission for Central African Republic and Cameroon. He has also advised NGOs on human rights, good governance, and conflict transformation in Southern and Central Africa. Andreas holds a master's degree in linguistics, philosophy, and literature from Freie Universität Berlin, and a diploma in management and human resources from St. Gallen Business School. He is passionate about facilitating dialogue and partnership among diverse stakeholders, scouting sustainable paths in complex situations, and empowering young people to become active agents of change in their communities.
