Responsibilities : Business Planning for the activity in India towards Digital video Systems requirement from Broadcasters and Set Top Boxes for operators and broadcasters, Conditional Access System (Crypto-works) for operators and broadcasters : Secured orders for uplink systems for Zee TV, and Conditional Access Systems for MTV. Nickelodeon and VH1 along with DTO ( direct to operator ) set top boxes for these channels. Managing an organization to deliver tens of thousand of these DTO IRD boxes for each of these channels at the cable headends, to install and to do life cycle management for those IRD's..

Philips took over Webel Telecom, a Govt. company where Philips had a stake. I was seconded to revamp the sale, marketing and service organization and bring it at par with Philips level so that it can be renamed as Philips Telecom.I totally revamped the product portfolio and modernized the entire sale marketing and service functions. I introduced radio trunking systems and large project business.
