CliniClowns - hospital clowns are a very established social-care skill in Belgium and bring moments of happiness and distraction to children who are ill or have special needs. I would visit different children’s hospitals to entertain sick children and try to make them forget that they are sick and in hospital. We could engage the children’s imagination, communicating with them through laughter and providing them with an outlet for creativity whilst maintaining very strict standards of hygiene.

Initially I was entertaining the guests, but very soon I was promoted. Working with a colleague, we were in charge of the scheduling, organisation and motivation of the day and night-time entertainment in 4 of the group hotels. I sometimes worked both backstage and on stage for the children’s entertainment and was MC/Compare for the main acts.
