Telespazio VEGA Deutschland is a well-established consulting, technology and engineering services business. Our roots are in the Space market and the experience we have developed there brings benefits to our other core markets of Aviation and Defence.In my role as HR Business Partner I assist and counsel both Management and Employees within my respective business areas regarding all areas of personnel management, covering all aspects from in-house recruitment and on-boarding to general matters. My business areas currently cover about 200 employees including the System Engineering Division based at ESOC (the European Space Operations Centre), the Operations and Engineering Group at EUMETSAT (European Organisation for the Exploitation of Meteorological Satellites) and the in-house Software Solution group working on diverse projects for the Space, Aerospace and Defense industries. My daily tasks include:•Management and Employee support, as well as consulting in all respective business areas on HR-related issues•Acting as Business Partner for the recruitment and on-boarding process for new employees•Issuing of employment contracts and changes, company letters, references and direct contact to external authorities•Legal advice to management•Co-operating with the Works Councils•Contact for all issues regarding maternity and parental leave, long-term sickness, ‘Bildungsurlaub’, grievance management or any other absence from work•Organization and co-ordination of employee performance and development processes locally, providing HR expertise and assistance to the management regarding all areas of personnel management
