Moon is a venture studio. Led teams through the incubation process as an executive sponsor, collaborating with Mitsui’s executives, business units, subsidiaries, and startups, to successfully launch new ventures and initiatives across energy, cybersecurity, construction, agriculture, and waste management industries.

Led a multidisciplinary team of Moon designers (UI, UX, product design, design research) across our Tokyo and Palo Alto studios as part of Moon's leadership team. Provided design guidance and direction to Mitsui intrapreneurs and entrepreneurs as part of our incubation program, collaborating closely with Mitsui’s business units and subsidiaries to foster a more innovative mindset.

Sofar Ocean: Defined initial UX and design direction for the Wayfinder platform (launched in 2021), led recruiting and provided mentorship.Intuition Robotics: Defined the product vision and strategy for a digital assistant in a new vertical.

Led various functions - including talent development, project staffing, and team building - for a multidisciplinary innovation studio (Greenfield Labs/D-Ford) of 40 people as part of the leadership team. Managed and mentored designers and design researchers, fostering the growth of the design research community. Oversaw the ‘Autonomy’ mobility portfolio (moving people, moving goods), budgeted and scoped human-centered innovation projects and experiments, and successfully guided teams and content.

As a founding team member of Spoondrift (merged as Sofar Ocean in 2019), led product design and development for Spotter, a real-time ocean data platform that successfully launched presales in 2017. Built and hired a team of engineers, supported fundraising initiatives, developed key design assets, and wore multiple hats to help launch the business.

Defined the initial user experience and design direction for an online travel platform that successfully launched in December 2015. Continued to provide design support and mentorship as a startup advisor.

Helped establish IDEO’s transportation and mobility portfolio, leading innovation initiatives and teams to successful outcomes. Managed and mentored designers (interaction, industrial, product), design researchers, and engineers.

Scoped and led design research initiatives for a wide range of projects and clients, led hiring and recruiting efforts for the design research community and coached design researchers.

Executed design research initiatives for a wide variety of clients, including research planning, fieldwork, synthesis, insight and opportunity definition, storytelling, prototyping, presentations and workshop facilitation.

Scoped and executed both qualitative and quantitative market research projects for primarily FMCG clients. Research International, a global market research company, is now part of TNS under WPP’s Kantar Group.

Served as client coordinator and primary contact for Unilever, one of Research International's key accounts. Acted as a liaison for internal market research teams worldwide to ensure seamless communication, knowledge sharing, and account efficiency.

Received a scholarship from Eindhoven University of Technology in the Netherlands to further develop my MSc. thesis work.

As part of my master's program in Industrial Design Engineering at Delft University, I joined Philips Design in France to create UI assets for usability studies and design logos and animations for mobile devices.
