As Audit Adviser, I work on compliance audits on different topics within the public sector. As part of my daily duties, I work within a team on project-based compliance audits, while I also conduct sector monitoring and participate in a special working group on EU/EEA regulations. As part of my PhD-thesis on “Values versus interests? The EU’s approach to multilateral negotiations at the United Nations”, I have researched three case studies on the EU’s behavior in multilateral negotiation processes at the UN Generally Assembly. The research focused on the negotiation processes on the EU’s enhanced observer status at the UN General Assembly, the Arms Trade Treaty and the Global Compact for Migration. The thesis was successfully defended in Mai 2022 and I was granted the title philosophiae doctor.The responsibility for my own research project has provided me with advanced skills in analytical thinking, logical reasoning and project management. Through the planning and implementation of my research duties, the data collection, and the organization of outreach activates, I have acquired experience in data management and various research methods. Beyond the realization of my research, I also contributed to tasks within communication and administration, which also entailed the dissemination of my research result in policy papers and in the media. This has sharpened my solution-oriented attitude and taught me to approach complex problems with an open mind. I have developed an eye for details, an understanding for complex relationships and the ability for rigorous time management. I am used to work independently, effectively and structured, even under pressure and with tight deadlines.
