Providing leadership for stakeholder management, engagement and stewardship across Sydney and Melbourne Committees, individual and institutional funders, and incorporating collaboration with global HRW colleagues and teams. Preparing a comprehensive fundraising strategy, with a focus on diversification of funding channels in order to build organisational capacity, including the delivery of two major Voices For Justice fundraising dinners in Sydney and Melbourne, with a combined fundraising result of $1million.

Bridging Hope Charity Foundation was founded in Australia in 2015 to provide significant funding across the twin pillars of the Arts and mental health. Complimenting the important work delivered by the Bridging Hope Charity Foundation in China since 2013, the Australian foundation gives back to local communities by supporting social change and arts programs with proven impact.Bridging Hope Charity Foundation commenced their partnership with Lifeline in 2017, stemming from the mutual desire to help build more resilient and suicide-safe multicultural communities. Over a three year partnership, BHCF is supporting Lifeline with a new initiative: the research and development of a culturally appropriate 24/7 crisis support service for Chinese communities within Australia. Bridging Hope Charity Foundation was the inaugural Principal Supporter of The Big Anxiety Festival 2017 and has confirmed funding the 2019 Festival. As a major new event that explored and re-imagined the state of mental health in the 21st century, the festival featured leading national and international artists, scientists, technology experts and thinkers who assembled across Greater Sydney. BHCF has also committed to supporting local and emerging artists operating within the Lower North Shore in Sydney within the TWT Creative Precinct in St Leonards, 4,500 square metres of heavily subsidised inner-Sydney creative space in which artists may create and sell work.

The Balnaves Foundation is a philanthropic family foundation with a focus on creating positive impact in the Arts, Education and Medical Research, particularly for young and Indigenous Australians, and other individuals who experience financial or social disadvantage. Anke worked with individuals, organisations and communities to build better partnerships between the not-for-profit, the for-impact and the philanthropic sector.Responsible for managing and developing the grantmaking operation, including engaging with charitable organisations to assess the impact of the foundation's giving and identifying further opportunities for future gifts. Ensuring that the foundation becomes more proactive and future-ready in terms of its giving strategy, in close consultation with the CEO, the team and the Board of Trustees.Ensuring that the foundation creates measurable impact, creates strong partnerships and develops a strong knowledge base.

The 2016 Lloyd Martin Travelling Scholarship for Emerging Arts Leaders has been awarded to community engagement manager and facilitator Anke Timm. This year Anke will undertake an international study tour that will include London, Berlin, Hamburg, Oslo, New York and Washington, researching arts projects that engage people of all ages and abilities as participants and audiences.
