AEECD (Adolescent Empowerment and Ending Child Marriage) is a project funded by UNICEF and implemented by CRY (Child Rights and You). The project is carried out in 6 districts of Gujarat with high prevalence of child marriage and child rights violations. The project focuses on strengthening the existing government structure and establishing a district task force to combat the issues at district level.Role and Responsibilities:Oversee the implementation of the Adolescent Empowerment and Ending of Child Marriage project in the District supported by UNICEF.Advocacy, networking and Liaison with District Collectors, officials of relevant govt. departments & agencies, and other stakeholders.Facilitate and take forward the engagement with stakeholders and build working relationships with counterparts like ICDS, DCPU, Health and other stakeholders as appropriate.Strengthening of government mechanism, system and structure at district, block and community level towards empowerment of adolescent and ending of child marriage. Capacity building of stakeholders towards strengthening delivery of overall services (including education, health, child protection, local self governance, play and recreation, life skills) for empowering adolescents.

Tata Trust has signed an MOU with Ministry of Women and Child Development to support in implementing NNM (National Nutrition Mission) in entire district of India. Nation Nutrition Mission (NNM) aims to combat the problems of under nutrition anemic women, adolescent girls, and children through improved monitoring, capacity building, and effective convergence at the district level.Role and Responsibilities:Responsible for overall Implementation, planning and monitoring of National Nutrition Mission in Anand district, Gujarat. Liaison with different govt departments for training and development of field functionaries to improvenutrition indicators of the district.Responsibility under 6 components of Poshan Abhiyaan (NNM):ICDS-CAS: Effective roll out of CAS in Anand district, training & capacity building of CDPOs, Lady Supervisors and Anganwadi Workers, daily monitoring of CAS and regular follow up with workers.Training & Capacity Building (ILA): SRG/DRG (State/District Resource Group) member, responsible for effective training at divisional, district and sector levels.Behavior Change (CBE, IEC & Jan Andolan): Preparing of Jan Andolan Activity calendar, ensure CBE conducted at all Anganwadis of the district on every Tuesday,Planning and implementation of district level Jan Andolan Activities. Convergence: Nodal person for Convergence Action Plan of the district.Innovation: Implementing Innovation project in one of the block of Anand district, with project tile: ‘Anemia prevention in pregnant and adolescent girls through the use of iron utensils and promotion of Kitchen garden’.Communication: Responsible for entire communication of National Nutrition Mission with CPMU and SPMU.Team Management: Handle a team of 34 members including District Coordinator, District Program Assistants, Block Coordinators and Block Program Assistants.
