Have experience in Highway/Transportation projects. At present working on UPMDRIP Project funded by Asian Development Bank. Working as a Field Engineer- Highway/Structure performs various activities.o Check level, layout, alignment of work and ensure work being executed as shown in the drawing. Attend RFI s, conduct inspection before allowing the contractor to proceed with subsequent task.o Conduct field tests like FDD/OMC etc. and ensure the materials have passed laboratory tests before execution at site.o Follow guidelines as set up by the Senior Quality/Materials Engineer and carry out work for approval of materials and sources of materials, review mix designs proposed by the Contractor and approve/suggest modifications to the Contractor’s proposed mix designs, laying methods, sampling and testing procedures and quality control measures to ensure the required standards and consistency in quality achieved.o Ensure site safety and environmental issues have been attended in consultation with concerned people.o Ensure work has been done as per approved method statement in compliance with relevant Technical Specifications.o Maintain works being executed as per approved method statement meeting compliance to all relevant Technical Specifications.o Conduct routine slump tests at work site and take cube samples for testing at field laboratoryo Follow guidelines as set up by the Senior Quality/Materials Engineer and carry out work for approval of materials and sources of materials, review mix designs proposed by the Contractor and approve/suggest modifications to the Contractor’s proposed mix designs, sampling and testing procedures and quality control measures to ensure the required standards and consistency in quality achieved and report back to SQME should there be any discrepancy.o Ensure site safety and environmental issues have been attended in consultation with concerned people.
