1. Worked on methanol powered fuel cell reformer system for CHCP applications.- Modeled a novel plate heat exchanger type methanol reformer - Studied and carried out metal foam coating on reformer plates- Catalyst test experiments were performed to evaluate reaction rate2. Worked on Non-catalytic 30kWe diesel fuel cell reformer system for naval defense application- Carried out steady state thermodynamic simulation on Aspen Plus in order to obtain reactants flow and thermal efficiency. A maximum of 25% integrated system efficiency is achieved.- Designed and tested a 5kWe test rig for diesel reforming. Experimental results showed a 50-70% hydrogen composition over the operating range.3. Data Acquisition, Analysis and Control- The entire reformer system was controlled through LabVIEW. - The input, output and temperature signals were analysed using NI cDAQ system- The product gas from the reformer was analysed through Gas Chromatograph.
