I am pleased to share my experience and skills, which include an M.S. in Physics and a B.S. in Applied Physics from Kathmandu University. My research experience includes working as a Research Assistant at the Phutung Research Institute, where I designed and simulated various photonic circuits for a compact spectrometer based on a disordered multimode interferometer. I also prepared mask designs of photonic chips for fabrication and characterized optical properties of the designed optical chip with custom-designed and fabricated equipment.During my MS thesis research, I performed analytical calculations of dielectric waveguides and multimode interferometers and theoretical calculations of specific conversion efficiency for evanescent up-conversion in nanophotonic waveguides. I ran simulations on various passive components for silicon nitride photonic circuits in a full FDTD solver. I have authored a peer-reviewed publication titled "Spectrometer based on compact disordered multimode interferometer," which has been published in the esteemed journal Optics Express and presented at the International Conference on Bioscience & Biotechnology, a poster presentation on nanophotonic waveguide integrated evanescent up-conversion spectroscopy for biomedical applications.In terms of technical and computer skills, I am proficient in Python, MATLAB/Octave, Luceda IPKISS, MODE Solutions, FDTD Solutions, Solidworks, R, and LaTeX.
