Ankit Roy graduated from his PhD program in Mechanical Engineering from Lehigh University (PA) in 2021 and has been working for PNNL since Sept 2021. His work encompasses molecular dynamics simulations of Li-Al-O ceramics and Ti alloys to model the radiation damage in them using LAMMPS, GULP and ATOMSK. Ankit's other projects include calculation of tritium diffusion in Li-Al-O ceramics using a cluster dynamics code called Centipede that is being carried out in collaboration with LANL. Ankit also uses machine learning (ML) for some problems to improve the printability of existing alloys for additive manufacturing processes. His latest projects include the AMMT and ATSCALE. In the past Ankit has used DFT in VASP to study diffusion and vacancy migration barriers in high entropy alloys along with his other computational and experimental works on high entropy alloys.
