Working as “Proposal Engineer, SR- Sales & Marketing” in Andritz Hydro Private Limited, one of the global leaders in Hydro power equipment and services offering expertise in hydro power sector with engineered reliability.As a part of Andritz Hydro, SEA team for Service Rehabilitation, my responsibility are for- Major Proposals/ RFQs / Tenders with a scope for long term relationship and business potential.- Identification & development of opportunities/projects at the very initial stage.- Proactive planning for addressing new opportunity areas by visiting old existing power plant.- Key customer visits & meetings to develop long relationships.- Tracking of competition (on various parameters) through regular research & market intelligence- Selection & budgeting of equipment to be quoted.- Estimation of target cost.- Technical evaluation of the different offers - Obtaining offer for various turbine and valve components based on the project requirements - Following up / meeting with clients for technical negotiation. - Final negotiation with the suppliers- Discussions and preparation of Contract Agreement etc.- Finalization of technical write-up for different turbine components for offer. - Preparation of technical write-up, cost calculation on HVOF coating for erosion prone components of hydro turbine application. - Received training on HPP (Hydro Power Plant) assessment tool program from European experts in Indonesia's hydro power plant.- Good understanding for critical areas like penalty / Liquidated damages, defect liability period, payment terms, limitation of liability, project risk & its contingency, cash flow analysis in relation with project scheduling.- Good awareness for the contract conditions as per FIDIC / World bank.

Technical tendering of techno-commercial proposal of Hydro Turbine-Mechanical Package (Turbine+MBoP), attending pre and post bid meeting, finalization of contract.Following activities is being done:• Nine years of experience in proposal engineering (Technical Tendering) with management of offer preparation process for new Large Hydro projects• Weight calculation and Cost estimation of Turbine & MIV.• Using SAP ERP for Cost analysis of the running projects.• First price calculation for bidding purpose.• Co-ordination with various departments to achieve time schedule.• Responsible for preliminary and final selection and sizing of hydraulic turbines according to IEC 60193 & IS: 12800.• Prepare pre-bid points on the Tender.• Responsible for transient calculation in order to calculate required inertia and other parameters of power plants.• Conceptual understanding of basics of hydraulics engineering.• Analysis of manufacturing drawings, vetting of data/drawings, preparation of bills of materials, purchase specifications with engineering standards and technical support.• Optimization, preparation of technical tender documents, layouts, calculations and quality documents.• Preliminary selection for Valves (Butterfly & Spherical Type) with reference projects.

Designing of pressure vessels & piping with following activities:• Design of process piping (P & ID) of sugar plant.• Designing and Drawing Checking of Pressure Vessels and Equipments.• Heat transfer and design calculations to determine capacity and sizes of process equipment’s required for processing raw sugar, white sugar from sugar cane• Design of process equipments for sugar industry.• Design & Detailing of the equipments for Tanks & vessels, hoppers, chutes, Conveyors, Elevators.• Calculation of steam, Power, water in sugar plant.• Preparation of the project schedule by all means.
