Industrial Skills:• Worked on the design of a mine tailings storage facility (TSF) distributed worldwide. My skills include conducting LEM and FEM slope stability assessment, modeling the flow/seepage through TSF embankments/dams, implementing mitigation measures such as designing buttresses and drains within dam/embankments to enhance slope stability, interpreting laboratory and in-situ test data (i.e., CPT, Triaxial, Ring shear, DSS, VWP, etc.), preparing design and review reports, presenting project tasks to technical experts from abroad, etc.Academic / Research Skills:I completed PhD in Civil Engineering (Geotechnical Engineering) from the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati. The following points are key features of my research work, • My research focused on developing constitutive models through the experimental study of mechanical behaviour (volume change, yielding, and shear strength) of unsaturated and saturated collapsible soils (i.e., kaolin). •• Another topic of my research work is the chemical stabilization of kaolin soil using a sustainable geopolymerization technique to reduce the collapse potential of kaolin soils.••• I also contributed to the experimental study, constitutive modeling, and numerical modeling of the hydro-mechanical behaviour of compacted bentonites.
