Ever since I was a little kid dealing with numbers has always been my sector of interest and playing with numbers on a computer seemed like I had it all! I still remember sitting in front of an Atari 800 computer, with the BASIC cartridge loaded in, making it print "Hello, Ankita" for the very first time. As I went through the BASIC tutorial, it was almost magic, being able to get the computer to do whatever I wanted, just by typing in these funny little symbols, solving mathematical problems limited only by my own imagination and ingenuity. Throughout middle and high school, I latched on to any ideas for projects I could get, moving from "Hello World" all the way to a simple baski-bot or basketball playing robot, with dozens of projects during my bachelors. I learned C, java, Matlab, Arduino IDE, tearing through any books I could find on anything remotely related to Artificial Intelligence. I was insatiable.Having a dad who is an active investor and a market- enthusiast, my interests took a turn, I was very keen on working in the sales and market sector as I was always keen in meeting new people and dealing with numbers. It was also interesting to combine technology and market to witness the upcoming reign of Big Data and work on various platforms like Sales Force and Advance Excel. After a brief exposure and to have developed huge liking, I went on to write my paper on : Big Data and it's Big Impact.This passion carried me through my masters in University of Texas at Dallas. Here there are more resources available to me than I ever could have imagined as a kid. I am studying new languages like Oracle SQL, Python, R, Linux Shell scripting, algorithms, compilers, all with pretty much the same fascination that drove me as a kid. And it was here that I learned truly how much there was yet to learn!
