Hi! My name is Ankita Bodas and I'm from the San Francisco Bay Area. I'm a sophomore at Indiana University, Bloomington studying Marketing, Information Systems, and Business Analytics at the Kelley School of Business. In my high school journey, my business career began with the opening of my own Etsy store, as well as participation in numerous business programs. I was heavily involved in many philanthropy and community service organizations in my high school, such as the California Scholarship Federation, National Honors Society, and MedShare. As a choreographer for my high school's dance program, I also took part in leading numerous dances of different styles with up to 50 people for our semesterly shows. My extensive involvement in high school is what fostered my skills in leadership, collaboration, and organization. Currently, as I pursue my bachelor's at a nationally ranked business program, I strive to put forth my passion and skills to demonstrate my professional brand. I'm involved in organizations such as the American Marketing Association, Women & Company, Candy Stripe Consulting, and Data Visualization. Participating in these student-led groups have helped me develop myself personally and professionally, and begin navigating and expanding my network at an early stage in my career. As a Membership Board Manager for AMA, I put forth my strong personable and communication skills to bridge the gap between our leadership and members, as well as plan events that give members a chance to grow their network with fellow AMA peers whilst engaging in Marketing activities and workshops. As I train to be an Associate for Candy Stripe Consulting, I'm learning important Marketing and consulting strategies as well as contributing to a Google Ads team for a Non-Profit in Dallas Empowering the Masses. On our Google Ads team, we have already garnered 1.59k impressions with our advertisements. As a new member of Women & Co. here at IU, I've already had the opportunity to hear from successful business women in the corporate industry. Outside of my academics, I enjoy baking, fashion, dance, and crocheting!I hope to grow myself professionally through hands on approaches to Marketing and Data Visualization through internships and summer programs. I'm also interested in exploring careers in digital sales and market research. In the future, I see myself pursuing a career in Marketing, Consulting, or Analytics, and thriving in a work environment that fosters inclusivity and initiative.
