I've had the pleasure to work with some amazing people and organizations over the years, which has been truly humbling. With nine years of experience in Ag-food-energy systems across Fortune 500 companies and the U.S. federal government, I've gained exposure to various facets of the Ag value chain (including inputs, mechanization, softs/trading, ICT4Ag, and Ag-Energy policy). Until recently, I was engaged in commercial diplomacy through a high impact role facilitating bilateral trade, market access, commodity analyses, international trade strategy, and policy advocacy with the U.S. Department of Agriculture (Foreign Agricultural Service) in India, managing a diverse commodity portfolio comprising sugar, biofuels, oil complex, horticulture, and organics.A passion for climate action led me to Columbia University (SIPA), where I explored the intersections of agriculture, energy, environment, and climate through a full-time graduate program. I have since then pivoted towards climate and sustainability roles, largely fueled by the goal of creating a habitable planet for future generations. As I embark on this new chapter, my approach towards sustainability and climate change remains firmly pragmatic, deftly leveraging business acumen and an understanding of policy environments to craft actionable strategies that align investor interests with sustainable development goals.Currently, at the U.S. Grains Council, I lead programs and project management for renewable fuels across our operations in over 50 geographies. In essence- deciphering, and leveraging policy outcomes to drive market development and service trade while advancing environmental sustainability.I enjoy engaging in topics around Agri-food-energy policy, sustainability, climate change, biofuels/clean energy, AFOLU emissions, ESG, sustainable/thematic investments, food security, regenerative agriculture, food loss and waste reduction, climate-smart agriculture, and international trade.
