ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES• Procurement of engineering and insurance spares from domestic as well as global Markets. Have managed all major electrical (like motors, Transformers, switchgears etc.) & mechanical parts including fabrication & machining jobs, Steel & other ferrous-non ferrous material, automation, IT, electronics parts, chemicals, minerals, fuels, Refractories, Gases & General Consumables etc.• Managing total Procure-to-pay(P2P) cycle.• Planning, organizing, controlling & evaluating all requisite purchasing activities to perform such as negotiation, recommendation, ordering, inspection, expediting & tracking, reporting, logistic & delivery, payment processing, etc.• Directing the development and implementation of key procurement strategies, contingency plans and ensuring that plans are aligned with projects and budget. • Monitoring Cost trends of each & every component/commodity for every month. Analysing trends and market conditions for the present and future pricing of commodities for optimum sourcing at right time, best price & appropriate quality.• Identifying, developing & evaluating alternate vendor sources for achieving cost effective sourcing of components and services with reduction in delivery time and improvement in quality. Developing quality culture at vendor’s end through auditing and guidance. • Ensuring compliance of various quality measures like by maintenance of appropriate requisite documentation/ records, QAPs.• Managing contracts for logistic, material movement and packaging as requirement. Also involved in releasing contracts for civil jobs, electrical jobs, mechanical fabrication & erection jobs, etc.• Coordinating with Custom House Agents & Freight forwarders for smooth custom clearance of import consignments.• Maintaining min-max stock levels of materials, applying inventory control techniques. Also maintaining Just in Time levels to ensure maintain smooth flow of materials with minimum inventory holding.
