Scope: To find a pattern from the data for a claim rejection.When the insurance payer rejects a claim submitted, insurance company provides a reason/remark.•Performed data pulls on AWS Redshift database to obtain the data used for the analysis. Performed data analysis, data cleaning, wrangling data transformation, and data modeling in python. We chose feature based on the description of the remark code. •Used NLP technique CountVectorizer, transformed a given text into a vector based on the frequency of each word that occurs in the entire text into sparse matrix.•Built a supervised Logistic regression to predict why a given remark code is triggered. Results of Logistic regression suggests the procedure code combinations that trigger a remark code for a claim. This correctly assessed why certain combination failed. This was verified again the insurers website.•The classification report was used to verify the performance which showed that the model was 98% precise and has 80% recall value.

Modified SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages and stored procedures to streamline data collection. - Developed, delivered, and collaborated on an application migration using the agile methodology.
