Major responsibilities:• To support sales opportunities by creating and delivering demonstrations, scripts and presentations for use by Sales Reps, partners and the sales consultant Team. • To support sales opportunities for solutions by project managing, designing, and in conjunction with the team, develop and deliver prototype and proof of concept demonstrations of technology solutions.• To design, build and deliver material for Sales Program such as training, eNewsletters, and iSeminar presentations and demonstrations. • To support the completion of RFP and RFI requests from potential customers• To provide on-line technical information for easy access by sales reps and customers• To assist in the implementation of Core Technology initiatives and projects to achieve “best practice” procedures, processes and systems.

Responsibilities:• To advise management on all issues concerning Oracle software. • To lead DBA in Design and Implementation of new Database and Applications systems.• To design Database backup and recovery procedures and strategies.• To help developers in tuning the application using efficient SQL techniques. • To analyze the infrastructure requirements for new projects and manage the environment build process. • To closely monitor the performance of database and suggest solutions to increase the performance.• To involve in planning the activity to implement recommendations on production environment.• To set up RAC environment on different machines like Sun Solaris, HP, UNIX, AIX, Windows NT, 2000 etc.• To validate the functionality of new releases of databases on different environments.• To clone of databases.• To Set up technical standards and procedures and ensuring their implementation.• To advice client regarding different strategies for production environment setups.• To take the client requirements for development and implementation.• To design the logical and physical database.• To coordinate with offshore team to provide the inputs for development.• To provide detailed analysis, design and implementation plan to the offshore team for development and implementation. • To design physical and logical database.

•Manage production and development of distributed database environments (40+) meeting the service level requirements. •Keep 24*7 mission critical databases up and running.•Monitor database and application performance and perform tuning as required using Statspack and other utilities/tools like SQLLAB, I/Watch etc.•Carry out extensive cloning of database environments including databases making use of replication.•Manage database backups and make sure a sound and fast disaster recovery is possible.•Design Database backup and recovery procedures and strategies.•Help developers in tuning the application using efficient SQL techniques. •Liaise with vendors, especially Oracle for Bugs fixes and TARs.•Streamline the existing processes and writing scripts for automation of routine tasks.
