Events platform - Service for ingestion of billions of events on a daily basis, powerful real-time search capabilities and real-time computation and serving of metrics. Working with events platform team has granted me an in-depth understanding of real-time distributed data processing systems.- Worked on job framework which is responsible for lifecycle management of data stored in elastic search. Solved failures, concurrency and throttling problems.- Solved single point of failure from one of the service(Zookeeper) and improved resiliency of the platform.- Responsible for managing Elastic Search backups and recovery during incidents when we faced data loss.- Dealing with regular on-call issues has grated me the intricacies of the challenges/solutions of realtime and high available systems, gained sharp debugging skills while fixing business critical systems.- Added cron jobs from monitoring of Elastic search, zookeeper states and alerting if required.- Designed and implemented ingestion filter layer on high availability APIs and minimising latency overhead of feature- Elastic Search upgrade from ES5 to ES6- Contributed in the large scale and long term running deployments, at times worked on solutions of unanticipated problems.
