As an Assistant Environmental Engineer in Missouri Department of Natural Resources (MoDNR), my responsibility includes but are not limited to reviewing facility plans & collection system designs, making construction permits for the projects, inspecting sites, working with project manager to grant Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) for the projects- overall, regulatory responsibility to ensure that state guidelines have been followed in those environmental development projects under SRF. While being a Graduate Research Assistant at South Dakota State University, I was passionate about developing innovative solutions for water treatment and sustainability. I worked on designing a pilot-scale filtration system to remove E. coli from stormwater and analyze the results through proper sampling by myself. This project has challenged me to apply my problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as my knowledge of civil engineering concepts and methods.I pursued a graduate degree in Civil Engineering at SDSU, where I have received multiple honors for my academic and research excellence, such as the Outstanding Oral Presentation Award in South Dakota Water Conference 2022 and the Tanya Miller Graduate Award. I enjoy engaging in conferences and reading publications to keep myself updated in the field. My goal is to become a prominent professional in the field of water treatment and sustainability, as I am determined to ensure a better environment for the future generation. I have a diverse background and interests, as I grew up in Bangladesh, love to read, write, travel, do photography and sports, and have been in poetry for eight years. I also overcame cancer and have a strong desire to help others with all I can offer.
