Oversaw the development of Peer Advisory Councils (people with lived and living experience) and Harm Reduction Networks (healthcare providers, service providers, community) in Brandon, Portage la Prairie, Winnipeg, Selkirk, Powerview-Pine Falls-Sagkeeng, and Northwest Interlake (Ashern-Eriksdale). Currently managing a team of six Coordinators in these communities. Also MHRN's tech person, communications person, data wrangler, and haver of various useful skillsets.

Coordinated the expansion of rural harm reduction services, the creation of a Peer Advisory Council and Harm Reduction Network in Selkirk, a Peer Advisory Council in Powerview-Pine Falls, and capacity-building workshops in the region.

Coordinated the Manitoba Harm Reduction Conference, Feb 27 - Mar 1, 2018, in Brokenhead. 250 attendees, 24 presenters, four ceremonial events (two off-site).

As an organizer of the Sex Workers of Winnipeg Action Coalition, I regularly speak with the media, and present to universities and to the public on the topic of sex workers rights. My role also includes collaborating on publications, organizing events, doing community outreach, administering SWWAC social media accounts, lobbying, and developing sexworkwinnipeg.com. I am a member of the decision-making body of SWWAC. ----- Sex Workers of Winnipeg Action Coalition is organized as a chapter of the Canadian Alliance for Sex Work Law Reform. It is a coalition of sex workers, activists, researchers, health care professionals, and allies from Winnipeg who joined forces to challenge the view in Manitoba that all sex work is exploitative. The SWWAC defends the position that approaches to prevent violence and protect the human rights of sex workers must be informed and directed by sex workers themselves, focused on harm reduction, and evidence-based. Our current focus is on figuring out effects of and protections against the new laws enacted under the Protection of Communities and Exploited Persons Act. We also support national efforts by sex workers and their allies to challenge these laws.

As an independent sex educator, I regularly present at conferences, universities and community spaces across Canada. I use a combination of instruction and participatory learning styles, designed to meet the audience where they're at, and create a safe, open space for collaborative learning. I cover a broad range of topics, including safer sexual health, consent and communication, non-monogamy and relationship styles, HIV and STIs, trans issues and experience, LGB and queer issues and experience, BDSM and kink, sex work, sex and social justice, and sexual pleasure. I'm available to present or facilitate on any of these topics, with materials and learning styles tailored for each audience. I work on a sliding scale, to remain accessible to a variety of communities and organisations. My co-organizer and I saw that there was a lack of active community and events for polyamorous people in Winnipeg, so in January 2010 we founded PolyWinnipeg to fill that gap. Since it's inception we have built a sex positive, anti-oppressive community of hundreds of individuals; organized and facilitated dozens of events; established an online presence and created printed resources.I have discussed polyamory in various media, and have presented at conferences across the country.

In my role as policy officer, I developed advocacy tools for sex workers rights, community guides, and case studies documenting capacity building workshops for sex worker-led organizations.Advocacy tools were developed using community-based research and desk research, conducted by teams of global, regional and national/local consultants, working with regional networks. I was responsible for selecting and overseeing consultants, project management, writing, research and copy editing. My team of over 30 consultants came from a diverse range of cultures, backgrounds and timezones, and not all spoke English, however we were able to successfully navigate these challenges. I developed a reputation for clear and concise writing, accessible to diverse audiences, from academics to people whose first language is not English. Within a few months of starting I assumed the majority of copy editing responsibilities for the organization. I travelled to both Nairobi, Kenya and Siem Reap, Cambodia, to document regional workshops and had the opportunity to develop relationships with sex workers and sex worker-led organizations across Africa and Asia, and staff from the Global Fund. This role allowed me to gain an understanding of the complex global landscape of laws and policies impacting sex workers, and the history and efforts of the sex workers' rights movement, as well as connections with sex worker-led organizations and regional networks, and funding bodies.

Nine Circles is a community health centre that focuses on sexual and reproductive health care, and HIV prevention and treatment. In my role as health educator I researched and developed resources for both clients and health care providers, presented the Sexual Health Assessment training (a six module, multi day workshop for service providers), answered calls on the Manitoba Sexual Health Info Line, distributed harm reduction supplies, organized events, documented client engagements, and worked directly with clients to provide sexual health education. This was a short term contract.

In my role on the board of the Thunder Bay and District Humane Society, I worked on grant writing applications, including the successful application for $262,494 in Infrastructure Renewal Grants from the Province of Ontario; was part of the recruitment and employee management process; created marketing materials to promote various fundraising and adoption campaigns; worked on major fundraising campaigns, such as the Summer Lottery which raised over $13,000 in July; and developed relationships with wholesale distributors.The board acted as both a management and governance board at different times.
