My job is to realize the value of design across the enterprise. I manage the design capability across Strategic Design, Design Research, Service Design, Experience Design and Product Design.

Managing the innovation portfolio, design practice and governance across a team of strategic, service and experience designers.

I formed the WorkSafe Victoria Futures Lab. We generated strategic foresight and forecasted the threats and opportunities we will face in the future. We would then stir up our own data through experiments to inform future strategic direction for WorkSafe Victoria.

Joining a team of designers incubating co-design in government. Practicing ethnography, participatory design and experience prototyping across culturally diverse communities in regional Victoria.

When too many creative agencies cycle through a client the last port of call is bringing it in house. I tapped in to help MeBank figure out how to drive performance based digital marketing and re position their brand. Good times and great people.

Working with the amazing direction of Marty Hungerford, I drove the performance side of the digital offering for Optus. Automation and optimisation was our game and we brought a innovative solution to a digital marketing team to help them test, learn and adapt their insight driven strategy.

For 2 years I worked as Digital Lead at the Melbourne office of creative agency Whippet. At Whippet, I worked across multiple brands, channels and categories. Highlight projects include digital strategy for Coles Financial Services, reinventing the flybuys brand to be a modern digital brand and content strategy to localise global brand Amplifon. Day-to-day tasks include providing ongoing technical guidance to our studio, to ensure we achieve the best possible results for all of our digital projects. Clients I worked closely with were Coles Supermarkets, Coles Financial Services, flybuys, SEEK and Amplifon.

I spent 5 years learning the ins-and-outs of online production, design and strategy. Starting out as a UI designer in a time where responsive design was unheard-of, I grew my skills in both front and back end website development. This allowed me to gain a thorough understanding of the limitations, but more importantly the possibilities within website development. From here I progressed to and developed skills in information architecture, UI and UX. This then lead to developing a further interest in the consumer journey. Highlight projects included a 5-year working relationship with the Melbourne International Film Festival, creative and production work for Energy Australia and UX design for Netafim. Day-to-day tasks included UI and UX design, front-end development and digital production.

I have also spent a year freelancing and interning. This lead to many websites for start-ups and time spend learning about the fundamentals of brand at Studio Round.

I spent time as an intern at Melbourne based branding and publication agency ‘Studio Round’. Here I worked under the Creative Director, completing art working and type-setting tasks on a range of projects.

The year 2007 was my introduction into the world of Digital Advertising, after gaining a Junior Creative Design Position with Next Digital. I was exposed to and worked across a variety of digital channels such as Display banners, eDMs and campaign landing pages. It was a world of digital touch points being restricted to the home PC, using HTML tables and Flash. Working as a creative through this time has given me a great foundation to grow in the integrated digital world we live in now. Highlight projects included working on Ford Australia’s digital campaigns.
